A cycling collective built around people

404° is a Brussels-based cycling collective built around a simple idea: rides are better when people feel part of something. We bring road cyclists together through social group rides, women-only rides, community-led outings and special events. Always with a clear pace and a no-drop mindset.

False Flat

Neither flat nor a climbing day: a relentless mix of rolling roads and short rises that keeps changing the rhythm and slowly wears out the legs.

Our values

Social by design

Our rides are made for conversations, new connections and shared kilometres, not just watts and average speed.

We move as one

Clear paces, planned regrouping points and a no-drop mindset help the group ride together from start to finish.

Beyond the bike

Coffee stops, community-led rides and time together off the bike are part of what keeps people coming back.

FAQ

What is 404° Collective?

404° is a social road cycling collective based in Brussels. We organise group rides, women-only rides, community-led outings and special events focused on connection as much as performance. The collective is open to riders who value shared experiences, mutual support and good conversations on and off the bike. We are not built around racing or rankings: the goal is to create a welcoming cycling community that people genuinely want to return to.

Can anyone join a 404° ride?

You are welcome if you are comfortable riding a road bike in a group and can maintain the advertised pace. Check the distance, elevation and expected speed of each ride before joining. Some experience with group-riding signals, close formations and basic road etiquette is recommended for everyone’s safety. If you are unsure about your level, send us a message before the ride and we will help you choose the most suitable outing.

What pace do you ride at?

Our regular Sunday social rides generally average 26–27 km/h, while women-only rides are usually around 23–25 km/h. The expected pace, distance and elevation are always included in the ride details so you can decide whether the route suits you. Weather, terrain and group size can affect the final average, and planned regrouping points help keep everyone together.

What does “no drop” mean?

No drop means we ride as a group, use planned regrouping points and do not leave anyone alone. Ride leaders keep an eye on the group and pause at agreed locations when gaps appear. It does not mean that pace and distance no longer matter, so you should still choose a ride that matches your current fitness and group-riding experience.

What should I bring?

Bring a road bike in good working order, a helmet, water, food, spare tubes or repair essentials, and clothing suited to the weather. Helmets are mandatory, and lights are strongly recommended when visibility may be limited. Please check your tyres, brakes and gears before leaving, and bring enough food and water to remain self-sufficient for the full distance.
